Project Development

PHASE 1 - The Crèche
This phase of our project is currently underway. We opened our doors on 26 January and have been growing since. We have employed two local women who are teaching and managing the crèche. They will be trained by TREE (Training and Resources for Early Education) in the near future. (please click here for the Wish List).

PHASE 2 - The Healthcare Centre
Our second phase will be to implement a Healthcare Centre. Not only will this be beneficial for the children, but it will also enable the mothers, fathers and carers to visit the centre to attend to their own health needs, making it possible for them to work or become self-sufficient.

PHASE 3
We would like to use the centre for all community needs; a base for the older children to attend to homework, develop social skills, teamwork and the chance to play sport, practise arts, music.

PHASE 4
Our final phase will be rolled out to the older members of the community to create a training centre to provide core skills and basic education to the vastly illiterate elder community to empower themselves. We also want them to see this centre as a place of gathering to discuss and develop their land and opportunities that may arise.
